If something is holding you back — let's talk about it.

Most people who research ketamine therapy have real questions and real fears. We'd rather address them directly than gloss over them. Here are the ones we hear most.

"What if I freak out or lose control?"
Your session is continuously monitored — vital signs via Bluetooth to the nursing station, video monitoring throughout, and a call light so you can signal your nurse any time. If anything feels difficult, your nurse can come sit with you immediately.
"What if it doesn't work for me?"
We don't promise outcomes. We promise an individualized approach that adapts based on how you're responding. If something isn't working, we adjust. Your plan isn't fixed — it follows you.
"I'm afraid of what might come up."
This is one of the most common fears — and one of the most valid. Ketamine can surface things you've been avoiding. That's part of how it works. Our team is trained specifically to help you move through what comes up, not around it. You're prepared before you go in, and supported when you come out.
"Is it safe? Isn't ketamine a party drug?"
Ketamine has been used safely as an anesthetic for over 50 years and is included on the World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines because of its established safety profile. At low, therapeutic doses in a clinical setting, it is very different from recreational misuse — and our team manages dosing carefully throughout every session.
"How is this different from other ketamine clinics?"
Every session at ReNew includes continuous vital sign monitoring via Bluetooth, video monitoring so your nurse can see you at any moment, and a call light to signal for support. For KAP (ketamine-assisted psychotherapy) sessions, your provider is with you in the room. Some patients prefer a solo journey — and that can be just as meaningful and effective.
The science, simply explained

Ketamine works differently from traditional antidepressants. Where SSRIs target serotonin over weeks or months, ketamine rapidly increases glutamate — a neurotransmitter that promotes neural plasticity. In practical terms: it helps your brain form new connections and break out of entrenched patterns.

For people who have tried medication after medication without lasting relief, this difference matters. It's why ketamine works for treatment-resistant conditions where other approaches haven't.

At ReNew, we treat the session itself as a guided experience — not just a drug delivery mechanism. The mindset you bring in, the intentions you set, and the integration afterward are all part of how lasting change happens.

No surprises.
We walk you through
every step.

The biggest fear most people have isn't the treatment itself — it's not knowing what's coming. Here's exactly what your experience looks like from first contact to ongoing care.

1
Before anything else

Call Us — We're Here to Help

Our staff is knowledgeable and genuinely happy to answer your questions about ketamine therapy and all of our treatments. Just a real conversation to help you understand your options and decide if ReNew is the right fit for you.

2
Your first appointment

75-Minute Evaluation

A thorough intake with your provider. We review your full history, discuss your goals, talk through the process in detail, and build your personalized treatment plan. You'll leave knowing exactly what your sessions will look like — nothing vague.

3
Before your first session

Preparation

You'll receive our preparation guide and have a conversation with your nurse about what to expect. We help you set intentions — not as a spiritual exercise, but as a practical way to guide where your mind goes. The more prepared you are, the more you get out of the session.

4
The core of your treatment

Your Journey

Each session takes place in a private, calm treatment room designed to feel like anything but a clinic. You'll have an eye mask and headphones with curated music. Your vitals are monitored continuously via Bluetooth to the nursing station, and your nurse monitors you by video throughout — so they can see if you look comfortable, distressed, or in need of support at any moment. You have a call light to signal for your nurse anytime. For KAP (ketamine-assisted psychotherapy) sessions, your provider is present in the room with you. Some patients find a solo journey equally meaningful and effective — both are valid paths. Most sessions last 45–60 minutes once the medication takes effect.

5
After each session

Integration

What happens after a session matters as much as the session itself. We help you process what came up — what you noticed, what shifted, what you want to carry forward. Integration is where the experience becomes change you can actually live with.

6
Ongoing

Continued Care & Holistic Support

After your initial series, many patients benefit from ongoing care — including ketamine booster sessions, TMS Therapy, Spravato, holistic treatments like IV vitamin therapy, and continued psychiatric support. We tailor your ongoing plan to where you are and where you want to go, drawing on the full range of what ReNew offers. Healing doesn't end when the initial series does.

Your experience.
Your pace.
Always supported.

Some patients choose a guided KAP (ketamine-assisted psychotherapy) session, with their provider present in the room throughout. Others prefer a solo journey — an inward experience that can be equally meaningful and effective. Both are honored here.

What doesn't change, regardless of the type of session: continuous vital sign monitoring via Bluetooth to the nursing station, video monitoring so your nurse can see you at all times, and a call light so you can signal for support the moment you need it. If anything feels difficult, your nurse can be with you immediately.

This isn't about eliminating your problems. It's about becoming someone who can handle them.

More questions answered.

If you don't see yours here, call us. We'd rather talk than have you leave with uncertainty.

How many sessions will I need?
The standard course is 6 sessions over about 3 weeks, but we start you off with 4 treatments in 2 weeks, then check in with your provider to make sure your journeys are running smoothly and see if any changes are needed. Some people notice change earlier. Some benefit from boosters afterward. We tailor your plan based on how you're responding — not a fixed protocol.
Does insurance cover ketamine therapy?
Ketamine is used off-label for mental health treatment, which means the medication itself is not covered by insurance. However, we do bill your insurance for the clinical time you spend in our office — including monitoring by our nursing team. We accept most major insurance plans, and our team will help you understand what's covered before you commit to anything.
What does the experience actually feel like?
Most people describe a dreamlike feeling where ordinary thinking softens and the mind opens up. "Dissociative" is the clinical term — it simply means a gentle shift in perception where your sense of time, space, and self feels different from usual. Thoughts and feelings can surface in new ways. Some experiences are deeply moving. Some are quiet. Everyone's is different, which is exactly why we help you prepare beforehand and support you through integration after.
Can I drive afterward?
No. You'll need someone to drive you home after each session. Plan for the rest of the day to be low-key. Most people feel clear-headed by the next morning.
Is ketamine addictive?
At therapeutic doses in a clinical setting, ketamine has a low addiction profile — and it's actually being studied as a treatment for addiction. This is very different from recreational misuse. We monitor carefully and don't continue treatment if concerns arise.
What if I'm already on antidepressants?
Many of our patients come to us on existing medications. We'll review everything during your intake evaluation and discuss whether any adjustments are recommended. You do not have to come off your current medications to begin.
