This post is part of Healing Insights from the Circle, a Veteran Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy Group Journal from ReNew Wellness. These reflections are shared to honor the courage, vulnerability, and resilience of veterans healing together in community.

The second Women’s Veteran Group KAP session focused on mindfulness, balance, and shared safety.

Participants described both serene and fearful moments during their journeys, unified by the reassurance of community. The group held space for the truth that healing can include peace and fear, softness and intensity, release and uncertainty.

Themes of control emerged throughout the evening: letting go of control, wanting control, and learning to reclaim it in healthier ways. A Venn diagram metaphor illustrated the overlap of the logical mind, emotional mind, and wise mind.

One first-time participant shared how alone solo journeys can feel, and how held she felt in the group. Another spoke of grieving her father, encountering death imagery, and instead meeting love and acceptance.

Metaphors of storms and sacred gardens reflected inner resilience and safety. The group became a place where difficult material could arise without anyone having to carry it alone.

This session highlighted the unique power of women veterans healing in community: being witnessed, believed, and supported while reconnecting with inner wisdom.
